Matriculated religious studies degree in one of the pronounced religious schools of Islamic thought and principles.
Comprehensive understanding of the religion of Islam.
Open minded and able to deal with first and second generation Muslim issues.
Knowledge and awareness of cultural differences when dealing with community members from different ethnicities.
Excellent written and electronic communication skills in English and Arabic.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent speaker for Jumuah prayer and weekly lectures.
Lead the five daily prayers.
Lead all religious holiday events and prayers.
Regular speeches throughout the week.
A weekly lecture.
Conduct the services for the congregational prayer on Friday.
Run programs for adults, youth, and children.
Answer Muslims’ questions related to everyday matters.
Perform arbitration and counseling.
Ordain marriages and divorces according to the Islamic, local state, and federal rules.
Lead and perform funeral services.
Create and oversee the curriculum for the children’s school and for Quran classes.
Sit on the board of education To provide an interface with inter-faith and public organizations.
Must be able to provide references for at least the most two to three recent employers.
Must be able to provide and substantiate proof of degrees.
Must have a clean judiciary record in the home country and in the US.
